AUTHORITY: Sections 1-260 through 1-266 Broward County Code of Ordinance, and Part I, Article I, Sec. 2-1 of the Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Code of Ordinances

Lobbying means communicating directly or indirectly, in person, by telephone, by letter, or by any other form of communication, on behalf of any other with any Town Commissioner, any member of any decision-making body under the jurisdiction of the Board, or any Town employee, where the lobbyist seeks to influence a decision to be made by the Board, a decision to be made by any decision-making body under the jurisdiction of the Board, or a final procurement decision to be made by a Town employee.

Lobbyist is defined as any individual who engages in lobbying, as defined above, regardless of whether he or she receives any compensation for such lobbying.

Lobbyists are required to register annually on or before January 15th, to pay an annual $50.00  registration fee for each employer or principal, and submit a statement of annual expenditure and contingency fees.

This registration covers the period January 01, 2025 - December 31, 2025
